Ever had a voice mail that is so long you forget it's a voice mail? I have. Seriously, after about a minute I find myself trying to carry on a conversation with a voice mail. Arguing with a voice mail isn't productive time.
Are you guilty of this? If you have ever left a voice mail longer than 30 seconds then you're guilty in my opinion. Hell, I have done it a couple of times too. And if you are guilty then I ask you to do the following:
Name, subject, contact info...NO RAMBLING...JUST THE FACTS.
